  • Parks and Recreation Director Hired Eric Davis will serve as Dorchester County’s first Parks and Recreation Director beginning September 8, 2014. In his new role, Davis will work closely with the Dorchester County Parks and Recreation Commission to shape the County’s plan for active and passive recreation. Davis is currently employed as Assistant Director with the Town of Summerville Parks and Recreation Department. He also has experience working with the Spartanburg County Parks Department. Davis earned a Bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science and a Master of Public Administration from the College of Charleston. He is a Certified Parks and Recreational Professional with the National Recreation and Parks Association.
  • Bosch Facility First to Partner with Dorchester County to Use Reclaimed Water Upholding Bosch’s commitment to protecting the environment and preserving natural resources, the company’s Dorchester Road facility has partnered with Dorchester County to implement a water recycling system that uses reclaimed water to save approximately 25 million gallons of drinkable water and reduce operating costs by nearly $75,000 per year.
