Dorchester County participates in ReachSC, an Emergency Notification System (ENS)
developed by SC Emergency Management Division to notify citizens during an emergency
when they or their families could be affected by an event. Dorchester County may even
need your help at times for certain emergencies. Please register at the link on our main

can better reach you.

Dorchester County has used ReachSC ENS since February 7th, 2007 and used it for several
emergency situations of many different kinds to notify citizens of emergencies around them.
Dorchester County Emergency Services has made several major leaps with ReachSC, to
include being the first county to use ReachSC for an emergency, and the first county in
South Carolina who has successfully used it to resolve an emergency. We strive to continue
serving the citizens of our county with a professional and rapid response when time really
matters. With the use of ReachSC ENS we hope to increase your knowledge of your
surroundings and at the same time keep you and your neighbors out of harms way.
