Dorchester County SYEP
(Summer Youth Employment Program)
The Summer Youth Employment Program allows Dorchester County youths
between the ages of 16 and 22* to work in various departments within the county
government. The Program begins in June and ends in August. These youth earn
minimum wage for approximately a total of 130 hours during this time period.
Supervisors work together with their summer worker to decide on a schedule that
best suits their needs. Applications are usually available by the end of April and
