Dorchester County SYEP (Summer Youth Employment Program)
The Summer Youth Employment Program allows Dorchester County youths between the ages of 16 and 22* to work in various departments within the county government. The Program begins on June 2nd and ends on August 1st, 2008. These youth earn minimum wage which is currently $5.85 per hour, for a total of 130 hours during this time period. Supervisors work together with their summer worker to decide on a schedule that best suits their needs. Applications must be returned to the SYEP Coordinator by MAY 9, 2008 to be considered. *Youth must be a resident of Dorchester County who is at least 16 years old and not older than 22 years of age by June 2, 2008.
