The Dorchester County Solid Waste Department
provides convenience site locations for County
residents to dispose of household garbage, brown
goods, white goods, construction and demolition
debris, yard debris, and recyclables. The department
assists with the task of keeping each site clean
and orderly through the efforts of part-time and
full time employees. It is responsible for litter reduction
through Codes Enforcement, and increased recycling
through public education. We also aid in the cleanup and
disposal of roadside debris and litter through the
Community Service Program, Keep America Beautiful,
and Codes Enforcement Officers.
