Dorchester County Council adopted Ordinance 85-02 on August 5, 1985, creating the Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse. Currently, the Commission is composed of seven County residents who are appointed by the majority of Council. Members serve four-year terms or until their successors are appointed and qualify. The terms of the District members coincide with that of the Council District Representative.
