Dorchester County Council adopted Ordinance 79-03 on April 2, 1979, creating a Library System, including a Library Board. The Ordinance was amended with the adoption of Ordinance 95-11 on December 11, 1995. The Board consists of seven members who serve four-year terms. Each County Council member appoints one member to the Board.
