On the second Saturday of each month, our partners at Audubon Beidler Forest feature a FREE guided walk at the future Ashley River Park Site. Join an Audubon naturalist for a casual stroll through this natural area gem! An Audubon naturalist will teach you about the common birds that reside in this part of the world and will offer tips about easy ways to make your yard more bird-friendly. No registration is required and all ages/experience levels are invited! To participate, meet the Audubon naturalist on the designated morning at the parking area listed above.
Here are a few recommendations for making the most of your experience:
1. Although hard copies of the above form will be available prior to departing on the walk. Print the form above, fill out, and bring with you to start bird watching quicker!
2. Remember that Ashley River Park Site is undeveloped future parkland with natural surface trails and uneven terrain that becomes muddy with rainfall. Please wear appropriate footwear. Also bring any clothing, insect repellant, sunblock, water, or anything else you might need to make your outdoor experience more enjoyable.
PERMISSION TO ACCESS THE ASHLEY RIVER PARK SITE IS GRANTED BY DCPRD FOR THIS PROGRAM ONLY. NO TRESSPASSING AT ALL OTHER TIMES.
